When the scorching summer heat of Dubai poses a challenge, resorts must prioritize the comfort of their youngest guests. For Jumeirah Beach Hotel (JBH), we delivered a specialized, temporary Kids Club built around an Extended Hexa structure, ensuring children had a fun, safe, and ventilated space to play all day.
A Sanctuary from the Sun
This project was a crucial hospitality solution, designed to offer hotel stayers peace of mind and endless entertainment for their children:
Expansive Play Area:
- The main extended Hexa unit created a large, open-plan space designed with young guests in mind. High ceilings and an unbroken floor plan meant activities could be laid out generously, from games and craft stations to interactive play zones, all without the tent ever feeling crowded or maze-like.
- Set against the backdrop of Jumeirah Beach Hotel, the space gave children room to run, explore, and move between activities freely, while still keeping everything within easy sight for supervising staff and parents. The open layout also made it simple to reconfigure the tent throughout the day, shifting from structured games to free play to group activities as the schedule called for it.
- Rather than feeling like a single confined room, the Kids Club tent felt more like a playground in its own right, spacious enough for children to burn off energy and let their imaginations lead.
Playground Atmosphere:
To fully immerse children in the experience, the entire tent was fitted with soft, colorful kids mats underfoot. The durable flooring instantly transformed the interior into a proper playground, cushioning every step and giving the space a bright, welcoming energy that felt purpose-built for play rather than just borrowed for the occasion.
Essential Comfort
Just as important was what guests couldn't see: full ventilation running throughout the structure. Even as temperatures climbed outside, the tent stayed cool and comfortable inside, giving children and parents alike a genuine escape from the heat, and making it easy for kids to stay active for hours without missing a beat.
Integrated Facilities for Convenience
To ensure a seamless, self-contained experience, the main play area was directly connected to a smaller, functional unit built purely around practicality.
Dedicated Hygiene: The Hexa was securely linked to a 5x5m structure fitted with dedicated bathrooms. This simple but thoughtful addition meant children always had safe, convenient access to facilities without ever needing to step outside the secured environment, giving parents extra peace of mind throughout the day.
This custom-built, multi-unit Kids Club at JBH reflected our broader commitment to designing high-quality, temporary leisure spaces that put child safety and comfort first, even when working against some of the most demanding climate conditions.
