To maximize the guest experience and utilize the stunning outdoor spaces at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, we executed a clever architectural enhancement. We seamlessly extended the existing outdoor platform by integrating custom, premium enclosures, creating sought-after, semi-outdoor retreats for hotel stayers.
Custom Enclosures, Open Air Feel
- This project involved strategically placing two 8x8m structures and one complementary 6x6m structure to create dynamic, functional pods.
- The goal was to provide an enclosed, climate-controlled space without sacrificing the beautiful seaside views and fresh feel of being outdoors.
We achieved this unique blend through several key features:
- Crystal Walls: Each structure was fitted with crystal walls—highly transparent panels—which allowed for full, uninterrupted panoramic views. This ensured the hotel stayers had the same feel of being outside, enjoying the environment while benefiting from the enclosure.
- Enclosed and Ventilated: These custom structures delivered a fully enclosed and ventilated area. This is crucial for comfort in varying weather conditions, offering a cool, comfortable sanctuary where guests could relax and socialize.
- Expanded Usability: By adding these enclosed spaces, the hotel gained significant new premium lounge areas, extending the usability of the outdoor terrace well beyond fair-weather days.
The addition of these three structures successfully transformed the terrace into a year-round destination, offering a perfect blend of sophisticated enclosure and open-air ambiance for the hotel's valued guests.
